I stayed here before my flight home from thailand and it is the nicest place to stay across the road from khao san and the rooms are gorgeous.
I stayed in a fan room/shared bathroom. and when i walked in the room i was amazed at what you get for like 350baht huge bed lovely floor lamp a big wooden unit for room for a whole backpacks worth of clothes. even had a hairdryer in mine whether they are usually there or someone left it by mistake i dont know but it came in handy.
the shared bathrooms are really nice big mirrors lots of sinks and space for you to do yourself up if you fancy a nice hitting bangkoks clubs. the showers are big too and you feel a world away from khao sand even though its about 300 metres away.

the staff are really nice. you have to give a 500 baht deposit but thats understandable as their rooms are so nice.

they did a good priced taxi service to the airport which we used the next day.

lamphu house is quite hidden and you could easily miss it. I found it when browsing the flip flops for sale at the entrance of an alley and then you follow the path up and there you are.

I will definitely be staying there next month for a couple of days
