Jaya guesthouse and restaurant is a fabulous place to stay although its not on the beach the rooms are great value. I stayed there for 1 month in a fan room/shared bathroom. my bed was big and large windows with a table and chair.
the shared showers are huge with a hook to hang your towel on.

They also ran cooking and massage lessons. And their food is lovely as are the staff.

They have had renovations done since although i have yet to stay there again yet a friend stayed with her boyfriend and they now have rooms on above floor and she said their room was lovely. air con, hot water shower and a balcony.

Although many people prefer to stay in bungalows or huts when they stay in haad rin, jaya is a good place to stay for an extended time as you feel a lot safer as there is always someone in the restaurant or in the building.

I will definitely be staying there again when i go back next month
